A dedicated IP address is an address that is unique only to your site and no other. A dedicated IP address can offer many advantages over a shared IP solution. Due to the finite constraints of IP standards, many sites are placed on a shared IP address. Both of these solutions offer a static IP address, but only a dedicated IP address assures that your site is hosted independently of others.

Who needs a dedicated IP address?

Do you have your own Private SSL Certificate or are in the market to purchase one? Secure e-commerce websites require a dedicate IP address to distinguish your site properly on the Internet. Without a dedicated IP address, the server and client will not be able to establish a proper connection to conduct secure communications.
